Surrounded by thousands of acres of land and even more cows,
Fair Oaks Farms is a family farm, grown to the scale of a
large enterprise, which employs the best environmentally
sensitive practices of modern agriculture. This tour is a
one-of-a-kind exploration of a 24/7 working farm that produces
enough milk to supply the three million citizens of Chicago.
Your guided bus tour of the farm features stops at the birthing
barn, the milking parlor, and the cheese factory where you will
see ice cream and cheese being made and sample products.
Opportunities to browse the shops and make a purchase are
included in the day’s agenda. The tour is available to
Annual Meeting attendees and their guests only. Cost of
the tour, not included in any other registration fee, is
$25 per person, and
pre-registration is required.
